SMOOTHIE TO HELP SHED BELLY FAT !


Strawberry Banana Smoothie
This slimming smoothie is thick and creamy in texture and is guaranteed to keep your hunger at bay for a while. It’s a great breakfast smoothie and great source of vitamins. It’s really easy to make. You’ll need just a few ingredients:


  • 1 banana
  •  1 cup of strawberries
  • ½ cup of lowfat yogurt of your choice
  •  ½ orange 
  • a few ice cubes

Just blend all of the ingredients together and enjoy your vitamin cocktail

SLOPPY JOE TATER TOT CASSEROLE !

Yield: serves 6
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes

INGREDIENTS



  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 sweet onion, diced
  • 1 can corn, drained
  • 1 can Manwich Bold Sloppy Joe Sauce
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
  • 16 ounces tater tots
  • chives, for sprinkling on top as desired



DIRECTIONS


1-Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

2-In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the peppers and onions until the meat is cooked through. Drain the fat and return to the heat. Stir in the corn, Manwich, and cream cheese. Cook over low heat until the cream cheese is melted.

3-Pour the sloppy joe mixture into a 9x13 baking dish. Top with half of the grated cheese.

4-Arrange the tater tots in a single layer over the top of the cheese. Sprinkle the top with the remaining cheese.

5-Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped chives if desired. Serve immediately.

Skinny Poolside Dip !

I served it with tortilla chips, Fritos and cut up veggies. It was gone, gone, gone before the day was over. I especially liked it because it features real veggies, rather than a dried mix. Give it a try, and I promise you won’t regret it! The jalapenos were fresh from my mom’s garden!! I think I may add some finely diced zucchini next time, since we have an abundance growing in the garden 

INGREDIENTS 



  • 1 red pepper
  • 2 jalapenos (unseeded)
  • 1 can of corn or ½ a bag of frozen corn
  • ½ can diced olives
  • 16 oz fat-free cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch dip seasoning mix.



INSTRUCTIONS 


1-Mix ingredients together.
2-Serve with crackers or raw veggies.

Twice-Baked Potato Casserole !



If you are in charge of the potatoes for your Easter get together these would be perfect ! Twice Baked Potatoes Printer Friendly Recipe 

INGREDIENTS 
  • 6 baking potatoes
  • 1-1/2 t. salt
  • 1/4 t. pepper
  • 1/4 c. butter, softened
  • 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 c. milk, warmed
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 5 green onions, finely chopped and divided


PREPARATION


1- Pierce skins of potatoes with a fork. 

2- Bake at 425 degrees for about 60 minutes, until tender. Slice potatoes in half and scoop out pulp into a bowl; mash.

3- Add salt, pepper, butter and one cup cheese; beat well. 

4- Add milk; beat until fluffy and cheese is melted. Stir in sour cream and half of the onions. 

5- Spoon potato mixture into a lightly greased 9"x9" baking pan.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese and onions.

6- Reduce oven temperature to 375 degrees. Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes, or until heated through and cheese melts. 

Makes 6 to 8 servings 



Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken recipe !

177 calories, 3g of fat, 16.6g of carbohydrates, .2g of fibre, 24.6g of protein.

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1.5 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into chunks
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¾ tsp. dried basil
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • ⅓ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup honey
  • Pinch red pepper flakes



PREPARATION

1- Whisk together the garlic, basil, soy sauce, ketchup, and honey.

2- Add the chicken to the crockpot.

3- Pour the sauce over and mix everything together.

4- Cook on low for 4 hours.

5- For crispy outside, spread onto a baking sheet and broil for 3-5 minutes

Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry ! quick and delicious weeknight meal..



Ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli flowerets
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped ginger
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sugar


Directions 


1- Spray 12-inch nonstick skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium-high heat. Add chicken, garlic and ginger. Fry 2 to 3 minutes or until chicken is brown.

2- Add 3/4 cup of the broth, the soy sauce and sugar. Cover and cook over medium heat 5 minutes, stirring twice.

3- Add broccoli. Cover and cook about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until chicken is no longer pink in center and broccoli are crisp-tender.

4- Mix cornstarch with remaining 1/4 cup broth; stir into chicken mixture. Cook, stirring frequently, until sauce is thickened.

Simple Caribbean Jerk Chicken !

Ingredients


1 envelope Italian salad dressing mix
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
2 1/2 lbs chicken pieces

Instructions




1-Mix all ingredients except chicken in bowl.
2-Pour over chicken.
3-Cover and marinate 1 hour or over night in fridge.
4-GRILL it!
